This story examines how the Suquamish Tribe supplements their salmon harvest through hatchery production. Each Spring the Gorst Creek rearing facility releases nearly 1.8 million Chinook Salmon smolt. Three to four years later, the adult salmon return and provide a harvest for recreational, commercial, and tribal anglers, as well as seals, sea lions, and Orca whales.
